23-011 Please give us the ability to have more than one vehicle entry box open at one time. I sometimes I have three (or even more) units towing cars all at the same time and I wind up having to hit enter on my tow immediately rather than wait for the truck to arrive so I can move on to the next tow entry. 23-015 From an officer: "It would be great if officers, or records folks, could check a box (or click a button) to produce an 8715 (or 8716 in cases with juveniles). After all the “face sheet” information has been completed, then the officer can either check a box or click a button that creates an 8715 that is properly formatted and ready to send to the DA’s office." Apparently this feature is in the jail module and the officers would like to wish it be in regular RIMS too.

23-016 Ability to track CPS and APS referrals as we can with case/investigation follow ups. Currently the only way to assign follow up to an officer is if you have a case number. It would be cool if you can assign follow up to an incident number as well so our investigations unit could follow up on APS/CPS referrals that aren't made into cases and stay incidents. Or anything that just has an incident related to it really. So I guess the wish is follow ups able to be assigned to incidents, not just cases.

23-020 A tab for officers that show cases that are “pending further leads.” Officer's would like to not have to search these reports out. Example, in CASES, NARRATIVE TAB, ADD NARRATIVE THERE IS A CHECK BOX FOR COMPLETE. MAYBE ADD A PENDING CHECK BOX TO WHERE IN 2 WEEKS OR A MONTH THE OFFICER IS SENT A REMINDER (VIA RIMS MAIL MAYBE) THAT THEY HAVE AN INVESTIGATION PENDING AS TO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE CASE, instead of using Officer Case Investigation.

23-026 In RIMS, when working cases that are linked under the Associated Cases tab, I would like to have the Status, Disposition, and Disposition Date, sync across all the Associated cases. For example, when working multiple car burglaries that, through the Associated Cases tab, have been determined to all have been done by the same suspect, location, MO etc. during the “Associating” process, changes to one case’s Status, Disposition, Date, or Case Persons would open or "pop up" the linked cases to be selected for identical changes, instead of having to individually modify the data in each case. A caveat to this one would be to have the Case Persons (mainly suspects) listed in the associating cases also pop up for selection, to accept the identical modifications i.e. adding the same witness to multiple cases, changing suspect to suspect arrested in multiple cases to include the arrest date, time, and charges etc. In this all of the cases would retain their individual information; photos, victims, vehicles, but witnesses or suspects could be added, or modified, and Arrests could be charged across the associated cases, without having to open each individual case to repeat the same closures arrests.

23-035 With the addition of several long CIBRS elements, offense descriptions, etc., it is difficult when approving a case and being able to see the entire option the officer selected from the drop down. We would like the ability to hover the cursor over the drop down field and have RIMS display a popup with the full data element that was selected instead of having to click on the drop down and risking the chance of reselecting something else. This would be similar to the way RIMS currently shows the button function when hovering the mouse over a button or the window close out X at the top right corner of the window.

23-036 Would like a Tab under narratives and supps named PLEO. This would be a place where we could capture a list of all deputies/officers that were on scene of a call. Would list their name and their RIMS ID number then have a check box for them to say yes or no for BWC or Car Video. Would like for this to be a drop down list for users to choose from users in RIMS but also would need the option to have a free form line for when we have outside assists or task force cases to be able to list others outside our agency and FIRE/EMS. Would also like for when this is filled out for it to auto populate in the narrative or have button to select to pull into narrative like “add other info” button. ***Bonus if it would let deputies not assigned to the case to go in and add their own info to main deputies report without pulling supp if case is not locked yet. Also would send message to deputy that is added telling them they were tagged. Good reminder for them to then tag their BWC in E.com

23-037 A "Warnings" tab on RIMS Reports that will list all the "Informational" notices, as well as items that trigger warnings on the DOJ end of things (ex: Aggravated assaults with no injuries or personal weapons of hands/feet, a burg code used with a larceny code, property over a certain value, etc...) This is when we run the RIMS report - Cases - CIBRS." There is currently an "Errors" tab. We would like an additional tab for "Warnings/Informational messages."

23-038 Need an audit trail of some kind for case review kick backs - We would like to know who kicked the item(s) back. As far as I know, we can only view such info until the case is locked. After the case is locked, I don't know of a way to accomplish that. this was possible a few versions ago and then it disappeared. We would like an audit for kick backs based on case number. Perhaps, adding a field to this screen that would allow us to enter a specific case number and then see who kicked back what, when it was kicked back, etc.

23-041 We often have supplemental narratives created in error when no primary officer is assigned to a case yet. We would like to have a warning/command box pop up when an officer attempts to create a narrative when there is no primary officer assigned to a case. We hope this will lessen the amount of times we have to void out supplemental narratives.

23-062 We would like a certain security level of RIMS users to have the ability to delete the last taken case and reuse that case number.. 23-064 In RIMS reports - NIBRS, when looking at the Errors page, we request a column with the user/officer showing who the case is assigned to. It is cumbersome to open each case just to find out who the case owner is, to then send them a message asking them to fix the errors.

23-065 RIMS Drug Evidence Item None. When a drug cases has no drug evidence, our request is for RIMS to automatically create a None drug evidence item behind the scenes. To obtain the drug type, on page 1, when a 35A code is entered, the Info screen could have an additional box to choose what drug type is to be designated as the none item. Request is made as the none items are clogging up our system and statistics. Overwriting none drug items, when drugs are later seized, often times months later, causes us to miss statistical data.

23-070 We request that the Stop Data workflow is redesigned to work similarly to the Case Approval workflow. Incomplete or missing could all be listed on one screen and disappear when completed. Rejected or non-submitted stop Data records should all be listed on the same screen and disappear when completed. A historical button (filter) to allow users to view archived Stop Data records (those successfully approved by DOJ).

23-072 To add a "relationship" field with a customizable drop down list under the assoc persons tab on a person record for associated persons that RIMS adds/creates. 23-073 A way to run a report confirming stop data was completed when an arrest is entered in a case. Right now we are able to add specific incident types that will require stop data but for incidents that officers are dispatched to (i.e. a domestic violence call, 459, etc.) that do not always end in an arrest, we have to go through each case/incident individually to determine if stop data was completed. I am hoping there is a way to have a cross check done when an arrest is entered in a case to then check the incident stop data to confirm it was completed and if not to have a report that will reflect those that were not completed.

23-075 Currently, dispatchers must open the F9 form to run a “Lojack” hit by an officer, followed by manually re-entering all the information into an incident. 23-081 Is it possible to have Rims provide some type of alert or notification for certain types of incidents? In particular with new NRS, as it pertains to 24 hr Evictions. We now have to serve the paperwork and then cannot return to enforce the eviction until 24 hrs later and no more than 36 hrs after service/posting of the paperwork. We would like to have the system time or countdown and provide an alert at the 24 hr mark and possibly flash as it gets closer to the 36 hr mark. This would be configurable for different types of incidents. Thank you.

23-103 MULTIPLE CASE ATTACHMENTS. Currently, the functionality to attach multiple documents to a single case is available. However, attaching a single or multiple documents to multiple cases is not available. One of many scenarios is that there are 10 cases of vehicle burglary. Through investigation, it is determined that a single individual was responsible. Documents are obtained, such as search warrants, suspect or witness statements, property receipts, etc. Because the suspect is the same in all cases, multiple documents must be attached to multiple cases. Currently, each case must be opened, and the same documents applied to each case. This begs the chance of missing attaching documents to one or more cases.

PROPOSED SOLUTION: Provide the functionality to allow for attaching multiple attachments to multiple cases in a single transaction. The ability to apply a group of documents to multiple cases would save a great deal of time and help prevent missing attaching documents to one or more of the cases that are related.

The functionality could be added to the existing attachments window that allows the user to enter multiple case numbers. The user could enter multiple cases in the supplied fields. It would not be necessary to add the case that was opened to start the attachment process. From there, the steps would be the same as the current steps of attaching one or more attachments to a single case. A suggested mockup is attached.

23-105 Currently, the Asset Management feature in RIMS allows for items to have expiration dates entered and users can filter data to show expired assets. Our agency uses Asset Management for a whole variety of items, including consumables that expire. Our wish is to have a system notification sent out to specific individuals who oversee inventory to advise them that items are nearing expiration and/or have expired. This notification could be similar to the expired registration notifications related to offenders that are already generated by RIMS.
